New MIUI 14: No Lockscreen after 15 seconds of inactivty

I have set my XIOAMI 13 with latest MIUI 14 to "Sleep after 15 seconds of inactivity". However, the lockscreen won't be activated and my phone stays unlocked with the screen on, even though I am not doing anything with the phone for hours.
