I don't use the regular updater. I always download the zip file and flash it in twrp. After that I wipe the caches. Normally everything works without problems.

Sorry, I didn't see your post... I don't have this problem. I don't use die default gallery app. I'm using the Google app. But yes, when I try to open it, it crashes.

I had the same problem. I went back to the previous release and it was ok again. I even made a test to try the new version again, because I want sure if I really wiped the cache at my first try. But again it got laggy. I went back again to the previous release and again everything is ok.

I have no theme and no custom icons.

I have a MI8. Nearly every app was starting a bit slow and some apps were lagging. I went back to the last release. Everything is working fine now.

I have the feeling that every app is lagging.

It seems that the new version is very aggressively closing background apps. Even Spotify, which is streaming to google home, is being closed. Only 3gb of ram seems to be used. I'm on MI8
