I had the same problem. I just installed the Magisk version that is included in the TWRP Recovery, i.e. v22. Then it worked fine. It took a long time to boot though

Google Chrome was uninstalled as soon as I installed the latest ROM. Strange... I don't know about other apps yet. MI8 SE
