Xiaomi mi4 FDD LTE

Wonder if upgrade to FDD 4G will require some hardware changes or this will be just a software upgrade? So, if only software upgrade will be required then we can order MI4 in current incarnation and 4G will be added later. Is this the case or I am to optimistic?
