For what it's worth, P51 modem works for me (Redmi Note 2 Prime) better than P37, I haven't noticed any issues at all so far. Also battery life seems better with P51 version. 6.5.26 overall seems to be working fine for me.

If that works for you, great. Full wipe won't hurt (as long as you have a backup, of course!), just this time for going back one version it was not necessary for me.

Normally when I perform upgrade, I go for the system update app (and don't perform any additional wipes, there is no need). Just for downgrading I preferred to do the work myself. :)

This is what I did after trying the buggy 6.5.26 earlier today. I booted into TWRP, installed 6.5.19 and did a cache + dalvik cache wipe after flashing. Worked OK for me.
