It turns out that TWRP 3.0.2 doesn't include parted, so the Repartition_MI_Pad_1_2GB_zardMi3.zip install doesn't actually do anything! Use version 2.8.4 from http://xep.8800.org/mipad/TWRP_multirom-v2.8.4-mocha.zip and you'll have much more success :-)
