Also, there have been instances (predecessor to the first pixel i.e.) where there is a fuse that is blown upon unlocking the bootloader, which might mean that you could be detected even after a relock. Warranty is most likely lost either way if the service person is not nice/incompetent.

Some applications needing strong integrity checks may not function on xiaomi.eu ROMs because of the unlocked bootloader.
