question guys, for those who have new Mi5, did you flash Miui 8 directly from the ROM which comes already on the phone? or did you flash Miui 7 multi language first, then flashed Miui 8? thanks

Thats helped in fixing the gmail issue, got it from another forum, might help someone 1. go to setting>additional settings>privacy>device administrators and check android device manager 2. uncheck android device manager 3. go to app and uninstall update google play service 4. open gmail app...

I don't actually know why did you reply to my post, you didn't add any value to me or others who might have the same problem. Answering your question, yes it was my decision but if i knew that it will turn my favorite phone to the one I have now i wouldn't update it. I don't think i insulted...

Anyone having a problem with gmail? Suddenly stopped working, i think xiaomi should have waited some more time testing M before release, i am switching to my other phone till the update, hope it will make different
