Sounds like a driver problem. I remember some guide pointing me to lenovo mtk drivers, but I can't find that guide anymore. Normally you can't brick a mtk phone. Maybe try this tutorial: http://en.miui.com/thread-221115-1-1.html

I flashed the Xiaomi.eu rom with sp flash tools. Quite happy with it, except for the fingerprint scanner that seems to be less accurate than a previous rom. After a longer standby I often have troubles unlocking it with my fingerprint. Anyone else having the same issues?
