    Start windows in safe mode without driver signature verification and install the Google Android USB driver and the Xiaomi Android USB driver. After that plugin your phone and it should work.     That's because of the "A/B seamless update" feature of the Mi A2. You have two os on your device by default. So you can install updates without losing data because all you data is stored on two partitions. And that is also why the reboot after an update is very quick. Sent from my Mi A2 using...
