    Tell you what though - I have at least determined that it doesn't seem to be a firmware issue. In an attempt to fix the issue, I flashed a custom firmware (https://github.com/EliasKotlyar/Xiaomi-Dafang-Hacks) and the image abberations still exist. I thought I'd at least be able to use it in RTSP...

    Sorry I never found a solution. I gave up - Xiaomi told me to seek the vendor and the vendor is not very helpful.
