    After the above, i went to developer mode to add my Mi account. The response I got was "Couldn't verify, try again...." I have been trying but to no avail. Can I proceed to the unlock process with the unlock tools?

    Thanks boss Modified: I got this after i followed your steps. But when i check the developer menu to add account and device, i still get this msg "couldn't verify, try adding your account again". I have tried that severally, same message.
