Updated redmi 2 2014813 from last weeks build to 6.6.23 through the updater app, no wipes, and works fine.

OK I figured out how to flash 5.1 MIUI8 on 2014813 when coming from kitkat. If you flash 5.1 MIUI8 and get stuck on the boot screen then do this: 1) Flash the latest global developer rom via fastboot "Redmi 2 Prime Latest Global Developer Version Fastboot File Download"...

Can you try and flash 5.1 MIUI7 first, and then flash 5.1 MIUI8 4.4 (MIUI7) -> 5.1 (MIUI7) 5.1 (MIUI7) -> 5.1 (MIUI8) Let us know if that works.

I've tested using TWRP3.0.0, 3.0.1, 3.0.2, and wiping all partitions. Still results in it being stuck on the boot screen. Definitely an issue with the rom.

Ok that's interesting. I will try and update it via the Updater app and see if that works. Did you update from 4.4 to 5.1? Or were you already on 5.1? How many minutes did you wait at the boot logo?

I can confirm this. HM2XTDPro_6.6.17_v8-5.1 does not work on Redmi 2 2014813. It gets stuck on the bootscreen with white MI logo (only MI logo, no android or dots at the bottom). This occurs even after a full wipe (dalvik/cache/data). Using TWRP 3.0.0 HM2XTD_6.6.17_v8-4.4 works fine on...
