Run miflash with admin privileges and use Miflash beta. That solved the "hello packet error" for me. I use Miflash from April 2016. It shoul take 10 minutes max, usually 2-3 minutes.

Nope, you cannot flash anything with Qualcomm diagnostics. In MiPcSuite you can flash in fastboot or recovery mode. In Miflash you need fastboot mode, but if computer doesn't recognize it as a fastbot device, you will not be able to flash a thing.

im sure its a simple solution but the device should be recognized without a problem. Darn....cant think of anything else, for that i should physically have the device. I've managed to wake tens of bricked Xiaomis. Maybe the device itself has an issue. Out of ideas mate:)

did you disable driver signature verification in windows? you should fo that.

It seems that the phone doesn't get connected properly. Either its drivers issue, machine isssue (i presume you have x64 windows) or usb port issue. Should try to connect on different computer! If fastboot doesnt recognize your phone, then there definitely a driver issue.

you didnt enter edl, since you have to see Qloader not Diagnostic. Maybe issue with drivers. Have you tried resetting it with pins on motherboard? It is also possible that edl will not work since Xiaomi started to block it. You should be able to flash it in fastboot with chinese MiFlash.

If i'm not mistaking ,the problem is that in order to get into edl mode with button combination, the phone should be completely turned off. Thats why in my case the button combo did not work, it simply restarted the device.

If you have qloader in the device manager then the phone is in edl. Otherwise it is not. Please try running Miflash as admin and try restarting pc. Which version of miflash do you use? Also check this thread...

Exactly. I did it with a copper wire positioning on the 2nd pin on the left in the usb connector. Whatever is neccesarry to see the Qualcomm Q Loader instead of Diagnostics is fine.
