It turns out that what i thought was a screen glitch was actually caused by the animation from the always-on themes. Once turned off, no longer do i get it. Sorry i should have updated here earlier. This was the first firmware i tried it with after unlocking bootloader.

I have not tried this tutorial in particular but i have used one of his other tutorials on how to flash from Cn to Eu rom and i didn't brick my phone. You should be ok so long as you follow his guidance.

I did a factory reset and the stutter has pretty much gone. But its introduced a new problem. If i have the always-on display turned on, every now and again i get screen flickers. I've decided to just accept it as it is.

Hi, yes i have those three stabilization options on the screen and as u say, they're only for the 1080p camera. As for seeing video preview from the rear camera, this option is here in 13.0.5, its a great addition though yes :) I will update to 13.0.9 in the coming days. Hopefully the stutter...

You're definitely right there. Changing to 1080 30fps and then back to 4k does help somewhat. Thanks.

No, it only works in the pro mode. When i go back into video mode, eis is still on.

Yes i feel they both have bugs, but you are right that having notifications is very important and for that reason alone, i decided to stay on the .eu ROM for now. The camera bug that i am experiencing in the eu ROM can be resolved by using the Pro mode and turning off Image Stabilization - but...

I found that when i go into the 'Pro' mode, i am able to turn off 'image stabilization' and then the issue is no more. But the problem with turning it off, theres no stabilised footage. I may try and reinstall the miui 13 eu version again but first i need to research how to do it.
