i flashed the TWRP in thread you quoted then flash 12.5 on top. When i reboot the device it goes back to TWRP recovery.

Forgot to check back here. I already fixed it hehe. Flashed stock rom lol. luckily was able to backup my apps and data.

Have you tried the stable 8.2.3 Nougat?

I have a question, when i upgraded to this version from 8.2 my TWRP lost, so when the next update 7.4.27 is released do i need to put twrp for nougat or does the eu version will be flashable via stock recovery thru the updater? Device is Mi4s

Mi4s here, the battery is constantly dropping even when not in use. I'll try to factory reset today and continue to observe.

flashed on top of eu rom 8.2, so far so good. under testing :D
