Dirty flash or clean install?

I had that problem a few times. Enter the recovery mode, and just at that point connect the phone to the computer to copy the zip.

I don't have such a problem and I use whatsapp a lot, so I guess you messed up in some configuration (or you need a clean install because the update messed up something)!

Change the language to English, then open the "Settings", "Region", and change from the default Poland to your real Region. This should solve at least the VoLTE issue, not sure about carousel! Then you can change back the language to whatever you want.. Actually it might even work for your...

To do a clean install you must format all data (not just cache and Dalvik). Perhaps you can try to make a backup of the apps and setting in the MI Account and then restore it, although it's at your own risk!

I had that exact same problem in the Redmi 4X. You have to do a clean install, the latest ROM will work fine afterwards (download the re-uploaded one)!
