You might not have to do it. (and it's not that hard, just boot on fastboot and run the correct script). Just updating might be enough. That's what I'm hoping for anyways.

I'm also having this issue on HyperOS stable 1.0.12.0 on DITING device. However, I think this started when I flashed the boot with magisk so I'm not even gonna bother reporting it to the devs for now. I can live with the occasional pop-up message every now and then, hopefully next update fixes...

Upgraded DITING to stable. No more heating issues whatsoever. Thanks! Battery used to be at 40°C just while browsing stuff. Now sits at around 34~35°C

Some feedback on DITING, the previous rom made my phone get very hot and the battery was draining fast. Since this update it has improved a lot. Not as good still as 2~3 updates before, but a massive improvement versus the last one. Great job, thanks!

I believe it's so your device passes google certification. So you can use google wallet and such.
