    Yes, but OTA updates by updater app may not work, so no difference between flashing TWRP or not.

    Hello, i im looking for a way to root and install magisk in a Mi 8 without flashing TWRP or other custom recovery. I want to do this becouse i want OTA updates directly with the updater phone app, and with a custom recovery this is imposible. Thnks ;)

    For how much time do you own the smartphone with the ROM you have right now? Sometimes MIUI takes a few days for calibrating the battery.
