New Xiaomi Mi 5c Unsolvable Problems

Sorry guys but I don't know any other solutions. By the way, there was a misleading translation from chinese to english done by Xiaomi: closed betas are released again from today with 7.10.9; next public will be this friday ad usual, so 7.10.12, just a bit of extra patience :)

    MULTI 7.9.21/22

You might be lucky, I've found this thread on a chinese forum where someone built a custom rom based on closed beta 7.10.6 for Redmi Note 4 MTK (still Android 6.0 though) http://bbs.ydss.cn/thread-1052863-1-1.html I would not recommend to test it on your device unless you know chinese pretty...

Mi 5c user as well. Xiaomi has been working on low level system optimizations as the updates following 7.9.14 proved to be highly unstable. That's why our device skipped the 7.9.21 release according to en.miui forum. Chinese holidays have pushed the delay further, so hopefully we'll get 7.10.9...

[icons] Mia Ex - Miui Icon Addon Extended ... Huge!

I'm sorry, didn't want to bypass anything, just though it would have been faster for people with a direct link. Anyway I've fixed the link in my post with the generic one.

    Update And Twrp Not Working

Yep that's the only workaround known as of now. MIUI9 changes to drivers an kernel might have broken something during the boot process. We should ask @ingbrzy if someone of the xiaomi.eu team has some spare to compile an updated TWRP for us Mi 5c users (3.1.1 based would be great :) ). Anyway we...

    How Is This Possible?

Yep, that's the latest dev for MIUI 8 branch from July 20th (https://sourceforge.net/projects/xiaomi-eu-multilang-miui-roms/files/xiaomi.eu/MIUI-WEEKLY-RELEASES/7.7.20/). I would though flash xiaomi.eu's TWRP over the chinese one (made by 7to.cn with the rabbit logo), which is a stock version...

New Xiaomi Mi 5c Unsolvable Problems

Hi guys, I'm a Mi 5c user as well. About the video playback issue, that's a widespread bug across multiple devices that should have been fixed by Xiaomi itself in 7.9.21 and later builds: sadly our device has skipped such update due to instability, they're working on deep level system...

Latest 5X fastboot china dev image I could find on official servers is 7.9.14: http://bigota.d.miui.com/7.9.14/tiffany_images_7.9.14_20170914.0000.00_7.1_cn_c1bd304b03.tgz Flash it using MiFlashTool: http://api.en.miui.com/url/MiFlashTool After that you can proceed with the usual xiaomi.eu install

I'd like to know as well. Sadly for us there's a national holiday beginning soon in China, therefore official public betas will come back on October 9th and beyond. Accordingly to a thread on en.miui closed betas are still pushed until September 28th, maybe a Mi 5c build might still be released...

System Apps Updater Not Working In 8.5.4.0

Hello everyone, I've always been on MIUI 9 weekly builds, but as of now I'm checking out the latest MIUI 8 stables: in 8.5.4.0 I've seen that a "system apps updater" entry was added in the settings page, though when tapped onto it nothing happens. Was it disabled by the xiaomi.eu team? What's...

@ingbrzy @graw2 I've read about chinese holidays, but are there any chances for a 7.9.22 on Mi 5c?

    MULTI 7.9.21/22

@ingbrzy @graw2 For everyone wondering why Mi 5c is delayed, looks like they're working on low level system optimizations (might be related to the in-house Surge S1 SoC)... let's wait and see. Source: http://en.miui.com/thread-869053-1-1.html

From what I've understood, mido is the codename for HMNote4X, which depending on the release "flavour" is known as 4X (asian) or 4 (international with band B20), so that's basically the same device. The 4X model name in the settings app is due to xiaomi.eu builds being based upon the chinese dev...

Reporting about 7.9.8 running on MI 5c. No major issues here, everything seems to be working fine. Though I do still have chinese stuff shown in the "popular area" of the built in Mi Browser, just below the search bar. Clearing app data/cache does not solve the issue, after closing and reopening...

Thanks for your work guys! I'll test it on my MI 5c and report here the results :) Btw, does anybody know how change date and time format? Haven't installed any updates, version 9.2.0 is what I've found on a fresh fastboot install of 7.8.31... a bit off topic, but will xiaomi.eu team release an updated version of TWRP for Mi 5c? Current one is based on older 3.1.0
