    I used my Mi 8 with xiaomi.eu ROM, unrooted, to pay in stores for more than 2 year without any problem. I used for payments bank dedicated applications and Google Pay, if I remember correctly I had the HCE Wallet option selected as Secure element position from Connection & sharing settings.

    For Mi 10 5G the Indonesian ROM have as a dialer, SMS and agenda the MIUI applications, instead Google applications. You can try to flash Indonesian firmware too, but I still recommend the xiaomi.eu custom ROM.
