    That's the lock screen for TWRP, swipe it to unlock the screen. I usually keep mine at read only. If you don't, then it may ask you to install root at boot up if it doesn't see that you are already rooted. Sent from my Mi-4c using Tapatalk

    I've had something like that happen on my Mi4. It happened on KitKat and on the Android M global ROM. It rarely happens and like you said, locking and unlocking the phone is a quick fix. Sent from my Mi-4c using Tapatalk

    I think you actually have to give a reason you want to unlock the bootloader. I would say to have complete control over my device and be able to use Mi Flash again. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

    If you installed the China dev 6.1.14 build, then you'll have to unlock the bootloader. From there you can install TWRP and flash this ROM. Check the en.MIUI.com forums on how to request an unlock code to unlock the bootloader. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
