Yes, decompiled framework.jar and modified the smale/android/media folder.. didn't work when I just changed the camcorder profile and the camera profile.. trying to figure this out.. even installed Android SDK etc.. :) Nothing like learning on the fly.

I copied the media folder from midnight ROM, but it was giving me FCs constantly, but the camcorder worked. I tried from CM7 for the Nexus S, and it won't boot at all when I do that. Going to see what else I can figure out.

What can't you get working with apktool? It's simple. You just have to install JRE, and make sure java.exe is in your PATH. Then it's exactly as he said. I'm not sure exactly which file did it, because I copied most of the media directory over. If it's something else with apktool, let me know.

I got the camcorder working in the 1.3.5 build, but unfortunately, another file fc's, preventing me from accessing the gallery.. haven't tried the mms thing yet since i can't access the gallery, but I'll see if I can receive.

it was marked 1.4.15 but was really 1.3.5....

I've done the mod, just have to flash and see how it works. Will be home in a few minutes and will post results. Ty for doing the research!

I still don't get a 3G connection. After I turn off wifi, I get one webpage to load (while the gps signal is flashing lol) and then no more network connection.. I probably gotta reflash or something, but will have to do that in a few hours. EDIT: After sitting for about 5 minutes, it's...

I tried that too.. it doesn't work for me at all. I tried flashing a diff kernel just to see, and same thing with Vision Kernel v1.1.

Calls are working, but I don't have 3G, just an indication. Still no data with my phone. Good job on the rest!

I'm using ext4. It isn't very functional, so flashing it probably isn't advised, unless you are trying to help fix it :)

asdfghjkl... I flashed yours and it's virtually the same point as mine was. A newer build does nothing.. lol.. I gotta take my dogs out and let them play, so will be back in a few.
