I doubt it - It's too much overhead to try and reimplement features which would not be supported by Xiaomi themselves.
To rip and introduce a feature that was torn out, it's not feasible because it'll only lose support down the line and/or could have compatibility problems.

I use Nova and you need to launch HyperOS/MIUI launcher FIRST, go into Recents, then set your default back to your third-party.
This needs to be redone EVERY reboot.
Probably the only way to get compatibility to work for now.
