By using Magisk, and following the steps to hide the app + exclude Google Play, Google wallet, and framework Google services, you can pay with your phone.

On Mi 9 Pro, I just installed Fix_CTS_SafetyNet_v1.0-Magisk.zip and it works like a charm.
