CM13 is Android 6, same as the stock ROM and then it should be easier to port than CM14. And as I am not an experienced dev I thought that it could be a good starting point :D

Looks like there's a problem with the installation script. It is not flashing :(

Try to sync with your MI account because I think that that account backs your messages up. You won't be able to recover them using Backup app if you had the backup in your phone because changing the partition layout erases everything you had in your phone

Newer ROMs have a new partition layout so the only way to update is to use mi flash in order to flash a fastboot ROM using your PC

These problems are ROM problems as this ROM is quite "alpha" and even though it can be used for daily use it has still some bugs

Camera does work after a reboot. The only problem is that whatsapp sometimes closes

I've tried the official ROM downloaded from chinese Flyme official page. Everything works great apart from the camera which is not working at all. The problem in the camera is not caused by SuperSU because I don't use it.

What distro did you use in order to compile the ROM? I tried to compile Ivan's AOSP with Gentoo but I had sereveral problems and I couldn't finish compilation. Thanks in advance :)

Will I be able to install stock gapps?? I mean, aren't they too big for our system partition?
