I disabled Smart Scenes and it worked.

Finally the notification issues have been resolved, but I still have problems with my banking. I can do all transactions except pay someone. I guess that's got to do with Google's integrity checks that replaced Safetynet. I did notice that for a while now, when the phone is on my bedside table...

I am in South Africa and have a Mix 4 which had Chinese firmware loaded with Chinese apps, etc. I flashed Xiaomi.eu MIUI and it's working fine. There was a lot of niggles, but it seems to iron itself out.

S Settings, battery, battery optimization settings, then right at the bottom, scenarios. Disable that. Loads of niggles in these ROMs, which mostly seem to just be how they work.

It does now affect some payment functionality I think. Never used to.

I had the same issue, I could not restore, even though I made the backup just prior to formatting.

There is a solution I posted. Disable Smart Scenes. Try that.

My banking app works fine, but gives me a technical error when making payments to other beneficiaries. Not transferring between accounts though. Used to work, all of a sudden doesn't. Even factory reset didn't help. Although it's a schlep, I can use the web interface on my phone.

I see that's actually a very obscure menu. Search settings for Battery, then go into settings by clicking the gear in the top right corner. Scroll down right to the bottom.

I made a post about disabling smart scenes. It worked for me.

Ok so it turns out this is working for me so far. I get all notifications as they come in, not when I tap the screen or unlock the phone. If anyone else have tried this, please feedback?

Same problem, 14.0.4 on Mix 4. Most of the time, all notifications work. It's when the phone has been locked or sleep mode for a long time, notifications only appear as I unlock the screen.

What is the point of the feature then?

Same here. It's unexplainable and unfixable. It comes and goes. I hope the next release fixes it.

At this point the way forward appears to be disabling battery saver for the apps

Very strange issue on my banking app. I can perform all transactions, except make payments to beneficiaries. Error message is The transaction cannot complete due to a technical error, then the app hangs. It worked fine for months, then suddenly this happened. I don't even know where to start...

I am also not seeing it.

I've not noticed any issues. Also, I found a setting that suppresses notifications when you are asleep. I assume activity tracking has to be used. I am not using it, but I have disabled this option and so far it seems I'm getting notifications. I'll know more tomorrow when I wake up.
