To mention something positive Ginkgo redmi note 8 Dirty flashed, all fine. But this time actually twice freezing and warm reboot after installation. Since then all good.

I remember some years ago on XDA somebody reported about a phone from Amazon and the bootloader was locked and not possible to unlock because of the Amazon brand. But it was not a Xiaomi. Just a little doubt... that's all :D

Redmi Note 8 Ginko Dirty flashed, ran my cleanup script. Everything's okay. Little annoyance: first boot lasted long (rebuild Dalvik?) and then everything froze in lockscreen, no Sim pin mask no unlock pin mask and just a spontaneous reboot after a while. Ever since that everything is "normal".

Maybe you can enable "Memory extension" in settings/Additional settings. At the 4GB Model it will give you 1 GB more as swap at least.
