Well actually the original is the Chinese rom and that's what eu is based on, eu rom was around before global,,, so,, maybe you didn't install it right, just because i always find eu smoother and more fluid that global Sent from my MI CC 9 using Tapatalk

You can lock bootloader,but it deletes all data when you lock and unlock,and i don't think you can update custom rom like eu, with locked bootloader,you need twrp recovery,eu does do ota update, just flash the rom and enjoy and learn more and you can keep updating your pyxis,,,no problems Sent...

You have to REBOOT TO RECOVERY after format data,then factory reset. its best on some older phones not to wipe system, you could have messed up persist.img in system. just try my suggested way, try latest twrp for your device Sent from my MI CC 9 using Tapatalk

When you format data(TYPE YES) in twrp, reboot to recovery, then factory reset then flash rom,this is all you need to do. YOU DO NOT NEED FIRMWARE, its included in the rom and is for Europe, its an EU ROM, Sent from my MI CC 9 using Tapatalk
