for me supersu 2.79 works for roms released in 2017.

on my redmi 3pro the only solution is to cover the second mic on top with a finger. otherwise after ~1min call the volume is getting scaled down alot. so it's definitly a software adjustmentissue on my phone. i have it on global, china and .eu roms.

you could go back to a rom version where childmode was still present (last was 6.12.29 i think). otherwise maybe you could use the built in applock feature? didn't ever try that myself though.

that also happens on xiaomi.eu rom. i think it is a bug of mi pc suite. it did work with official xiaomi rom though. as for fastboot flash: i'm not sure if you need to unlock the bootloader first but im pretty sure that you can't unlock if you are not on an offical rom. mby some more research...

try to flash a fastboot rom via miflash. after that you can unlock your bootloader and install twrp and xiaomi.eu rom. google should bring up some guides for fastbootrom. dont forget to do a full backup to your computer before you start. good luck

do you have an official or xiaomi.eu rom? if so try "airpushdetector" from playstore. if you have an unofficial (vendorrom) change the rom for security reasons

its also possible to boot into recovery from updater app by pressing on the three dots in the upright corner and select reboot into recovery (so you dont have to shut down manually and reboot holding buttons) in fact thats the only thing i use the updater app for since i installed my first eu-rom.

did you have LTE before with the same simcard or can you try it in another phone or in the other simslot? for me it works without problems in slot 1. another idea is to delete apn settings and set apn up again

i agree. twrp is straight forward. you just have to remember to only wipe cache/davlik and you won't loose data or settings. another benefit is that you can install supersu in the same process without need to boot into recovery again for rooting.
