I aways make my installs clean with all the wipes avaliable to avoid problems. It was working normal and without the "Compatible mode"

@manohar Yes it was working without a glitch, but ince this versions has less precision and items to adjust I prefered to use an old one

manohar The Mi-2 it's my first Xiaomi device but after the kernel novel and other this I have to agree with Entropy from XDA, Xiaomi deliberately it's against GPL rules and this in'st good to the community. Of course that we have great guys in our side as M1cha, Wajk, Medina,grondinm, redmaner...

Now that Xiaomi finally released their sources M1cha could fix his kernel and we cold have this ROM... At least the creators of OmniROM are great enthusiasts.

You need to test your carrier signal quality and speed.. All these are avaliable in the Play Store For quality(strength): Network Signal Info For Speed: Speedtest

If in Malasya the carrier operates in standard GSM frequency all of the baseband's are fine, you are free to test and report what's the best for you and help others in the future.:)

To migrate contacts you should use the assistant that already exist in MIUI, just look in the contacts app. The SMS if the iPhone was jailbreaked you can copy to simcard and transfer latter to your Xiaomi. Related to your programs, sorry... Different O.S. and databases will be a mess if you...
