Via ADB is best and safest metod.. Via Flashify works in 75% cases, and u can brick phone with that on miui.. And official TWRP isn't great so much, I prefer custom TWRP ,moded and better,faster :)

If u upgrading from same version (example 4.4) no need to wipe, but if u upgrading from 4.4 to 5.0 or 6.0 wipe / clean flash is advised

I can tell u only this: I always using balanced mode, no problems,no heat , no battery drains, on latest build no lags on games, during multitasking etc..so no need for performance mode :) and yeah, on balanced mode can reach 2,3 ghz ,but when it is temp of cpu higher, it drop to 1,5 or 1,2...

Haha, first don't leak links from miui.. Second if u are on merged partition, and on TWRP , make clean flash latest miui mm :) and build from here is safe to flash, no worry for bootlop :)

Yeah, with custom roms I faced drop on restart when I flashed rom for 20-30 %, maybe it is due kernel, rom,recovery, don't know :)

Can u reboot to recovery or fastboot ? what u see when u pluged phone on pc ?
