It's just 2 extra zip files to flash Magisk and play integrity fix module, no hassle at all.
You don't have to grant root access to anything.
If you can't do that maybe you shouldn't have unlocked the bootloader and flashed a custom rom in the first place.
Weeklies are fine as daily driver...

Builds are being made compatible with Play Integrity Fix, it doesn't do anything right now.
You can use the dev branch without root, it will still have the fix.
It just needs more frequent updates in case Google changes it again, which the dev roms will get in their weekly release so it is part of the usual update schedule.
Thanks for the effort and good decision.
Such a shame Google is making maintaining a custom rom such a pain in the ass.
If we wanted a closed system we'd had an iPhone.
There is, it is the Play Integrity module.
They're making the stable roms compatible with the module.
Magisk is a common thing, Google and XDA are your best friend.
Would it be possible to adjust the roms so the Play Integrity Fix is compatible like other custom roms do?
In that way new fixes can be added with a module instead of complete rom reuploads.
I guess they're busy enough with the Android 14/HyperOS update preperations already.
The weekly is known as a beta rom, so bugs can be expected.
I think you should be able to backup and move over to the stable branch in case of bugs.
Strange, it's possible the cause of the Pixel modules that make your phone act like a Pixel device a little bit too much.
I doubt it would install, but wouldn't recommend on trying to do so.
Yes because weekly is usually ahead from stable and you'll be performing a downgrade.
If you are still on MIUI 13 weekly the MIUI 14 stable rom will be an upgrade instead.
Do make a good backup but the install should be fine without a data wipe.
