It's a known problem, you need to use the global modem as the one from the China rom (k60) is not compatible. The linked flashable zip with the global modem image fixes that.

You can try if it works without using the global modem. If it doesn't work flash the global modem.

No you should replace it after the update, as it will get replaced with the global modem once you flash the new update.

I think it will be fine, in general Android updates won't change that part and will have to work with the supplied modem.

How so? TWRP access is still locked with a pattern and so is your device and it's root access. It is not possible to re-lock the bootloader on a custom rom, you will end up with a bricked device.

I have the same issue. From time to time you do indeed need to force close Snapchat in order for new snaps to load. All battery and memory options are disabled. Strange it's only a Xiaomi.eu issue and not on global.
