Its not the Chip, but the OS which is power hungry. MiUi always take much of resources. With heavily use, my phone goes from morning to evening. Normally double then normal juice I get. Just shifted to CM ROM, and it takes only 600-700 MB of RAM.. And whole night, only 6% battery consumed...
