"waiting For Wifi..." In Ch Play

There are several users on en.miui.com reporting that this update fixed the Play Store problem (then again, it would be wise to wait and see... I used 8.2.1.0 for weeks before the problem appeared). Anyway, it's good news! Now we only need to wait for China Stable, as .EU is based on that release.

"waiting For Wifi..." In Ch Play

It seems Xiaomi is pushing a 8.2.2.0 Global Stable update which fixes several things, including the dreaded Play Store bug. I hope they carry those fixes to the China Stable so that the great .EU devs can make a new release!

"waiting For Wifi..." In Ch Play

This problem is indeed strange. Since I installed 8.2.1.0 some weeks ago, I had no problem whatsoever (I upgraded from 8.1.6.0, didn't wipe data), but yesterday I got the dreaded "Waiting for Wi-Fi" message in Google Play. I retried the app update download a couple times, to no avail, then left...

How To Update To 8.2.1.0 Eu (naacneb) From 8.1.6.0 Eu (maacndi)

Hi, you can just update straight from xiaomi.eu 8.1.6.0 to 8.2.1.0; I did it from TWRP, wiped Dalvik and cache, and that's about it!

Xiaomi.eu And Miui China Stable 8.2.3.0.malcndl Released

Here are my 4G speeds. I got higher readings, up to around 14 Mbps download and 6 Mbps upload, but it's consistently around these values. No difference between 8.1.5.0 and 8.2.3.0 for me as well.

Xiaomi.eu And Miui China Stable 8.2.3.0.malcndl Released

I'll do a speed test when I get home, in a couple hours, and report back.

"waiting For Wifi..." In Ch Play

Luckily I haven't had the problem. Looks like it could be tied to a particular Play Store version? I'm on 7.6.08...

Xiaomi.eu And Miui China Stable 8.2.3.0.malcndl Released

It seems Xiaomi stopped the rollout of 8.2.3.0 for Redmi 3S/3X; they are listing 8.1.5.0 as latest stable, and state that 8.2.3.0 is "postponed until further notice"... ??? What happened back there? I'm using it and haven't found any major problems! Does anyone know the specific reasons for this?

Xiaomi.eu Multilang Rom For Xiaomi Mi5 (unlocked Bl Only!) Released!

I've been getting this as well, seldom. It's more an annoyance than anything else, but it's weird still. Hasn't happened since my last reboot.

Xiaomi.eu And Miui China Stable 8.2.3.0.malcndl Released

Just checked. My Redmi 3S does *not* present this issue... As I said, I upgraded from 8.1.5.0 from TWRP, no problems, and did not wipe data.

Xiaomi.eu And Miui China Stable 8.2.3.0.malcndl Released

Hi, you mean in the status bar? (the uppermost bar, in which notification icons, battery, etc. are shown)? I'll check it (don't have access to that phone right now), but I don't think I have that problem. I also updated over 8.1.5.0, without wiping data.

    Help Installing Xiaomi.eu Rom?

Not sure. I think it can be done with stable versions, so I'd try with that. If it doesn't work, you could change to a weekly.

    Help Installing Xiaomi.eu Rom?

Wow, that's a lot of questions! :-) I'll start with this one: > Is it worth it? Yes, totally. Xiaomi.eu is a debloated, streamlined version of MIUI China, with multilanguage support added. That said, there are risks involved when unlocking and flashing ROMs to any phone, including bricking it...

    Redmi 3s 8.1.1.0.0 Can't Flash

It's a fake ROM... As far as I know, official stable releases have 4 digits. In order to get OTA updates, you must install an official MIUI release (dev or stable). If MI Unlock says there's no need to unlock, I think you should be able to flash an official release using MiFlash.

    Redmi 3s 8.1.1.0.0 Can't Flash

8.1.1.0.0? Like that, 5 digits? Looks like a fake vendor ROM... How does flashing TWRP fail? What error do you get?

Xiaomi.eu And Miui China Stable 8.2.3.0.malcndl Released

Just updated from 8.1.5.0, the ROM feels smooth and everything seems to be working just fine! It has the february Android security patches.

    Mi5 Ask For Password

@crashnburn , it would be cool if you described your solution, instead of just telling us "I did it!" :-) @Alexiaomi , can you enter recovery? Does it have stock recovery or TWRP? If you have TWRP, you're all set, you can wipe data, cache and dalvik and be done with it. If not, I guess you can...

    Mi5 Ask For Password

If it's asking for a password right out of the box, it is almost certain that it's a used phone, stolen or not. If you've just bought it, you should return it immediately and ask for a new phone or a refund.

Google Translate Not Working In Last Stable Mi5

I haven't done a clean flash since I first flashed xiaomi.eu back in august 2016, but I *always* wipe cache and dalvik after flashing a new update. Maybe you could try doing that? It's worth a shot, you won't lose any data...
