yes, i already backuped with micloud a few days ago and seems to work. how did you backup your system before upgrading? anyone else here used google backup and it worked or not?

hi handyandy and thanks for your reply. keep in mind i'm still on 4.12.5. the option 'backup dei miei dati' is on, but 'backup account' can't be selected. it's not active, as you can see in the pic i posted. if with 'google address' you mean the email account, i don't have gmail but hotmail.

hi, i don't know if my backup is crypted (how can i find out?). what do you mean with the google account? the 'backup account' is not active as shown in the pic i attached. what should i do? sorry, but my knowledge is obviously quite low... :)

thanks for your reply, handyandy. i assume that wiping will erase all user data stored in the device (contacts, phonenumbers, calendar, etc.). what action should i take in order to save this data first? what tool would you recommend? and will the wipe affect also apps i've downloaded until now...
