Mi4 Lte Ramdom Reboots [with Logs]

If I'm honest I don't even have this phone anymore, I sold it and moved to the Mi4C, the information about this kernel is from the Spanish forum, the Mi4's reboots are world famous. I would tweak governor settings and min/max cpu clock speed to see if it brings down the battery drain. You did...

It probably won't work due to different modules, wifi, bluetooth, etc, and ramdisk. You can try but you'll need to unpack Ivan's boot.img and use just the zimage (kernel), then do the same with 6.8.30's boot image, copy over Ivan's zimage to overwrite 6.8.30's, then repack. You can do it all...

My advice on this kernel is to install Kernel Adiutor and disable doble tap to wake screen, if not it wakes in your pocket all the time. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24580943222145891

There are users that downgraded to 7.1.5 and one system partition and have reboots. Have you had android 6 on our phone?

Mi4 Lte Ramdom Reboots [with Logs]

Before the Mi4 had two system partitions. They had to get merged together so future updates could fit, this happen just before the Android 6 update. I'm just guessing but when the two partitons became just one I suppose other kernel/system code configs need to be ajusted for this change and...

Possibly something to do with bad flash blocks? Data tries to get written to a bad block, but can't and panics, but this would surely be reflected in a kernel log output. Flash chip garbage collection (trim)? Kicks in every XX days but only in standby and causes a reboot stuck on a bad block...

Sorry for any confusion but in various tests they say doze is actually active http://en.miui.com/thread-323069-1-1.html But that still brings me back to why on KitKat.

Doze is disabled in Miui AFAIK and KitKat doesn't have doze. Can somebody after one of these reboots check in /sys/fs/pstore for a ramoops file.

He said partial_wake_lock but I'm not sure if there is anything else, read something about levels.

Mi4 Lte Ramdom Reboots [with Logs]

Yes exactly. He rolled back from Marshmallow to the kitkat build he used previously without reboots but with the new merged partions, and had the same reboots. This obviously has something to do with the new system partition layout, but I'm inclined to think that it's caused by the way we did...
