Yo, I just installed this ROM on my Mi5 but I can't get past the setup. It gives me an error while checking for find device that says "can't get valid device ID" then just throws me back to try again over and over. Any fix for this? Never mind, rebooting the phone skipped the step.

This is normal. If you don't want your battery to drain while idle either turn your phone off or install a scheduling app that turns off wifi+data during the night.

Setting wifi to 2.4GHz fixed the problem.

I can't post a screenshot since I don't have enough posts. I tried disabling wifi altogether but it made no difference. I just recently tried changing the settings from automatic frequency to 2.4GHz only since apparently that can help.

Mine is disabled but wifi still uses 70% of my battery. I barely get through a day even with the device mostly on standby.

Yes I have this issue too on 7.2.13 You have to wipe your device through TWRP. It's encrypted right now, wiping it removes encryption.

Sign out of your Mi account. That's the only fix I know of.

Flashed the stable build after having a lot of problems on the official ROM and it's fixed all of the issues I was having. Thanks for this.
