HTC One X (inter'l) update from 2.5.25 to 2.6.1 complete - easy peasy - just copied the zip to the phone and ran recovery. it ran updates during boot and completed at lock screen. Now to test for hiccups. :) Thank you for the update.

is it safe to upgrade the ROM from 2.5.25 to 2.6.1 ? in other words, I don't want to lose my current config on my HTC One X of MIUI 2.5.25. just rather check before I do the upgrade. Thank you and thanks for any input in advance. A.

Yes! we have success! 2.5.25 is installed - had to use the latest CWM 5.8.3.1 as the recovery rom - and I followed @Lamaan's method - and i have a successful boot of MIUI on HTC One X - thank you for your help @Lamaan and iBotPeaches

@Lamaan Mohamed trying your way and I'll see if that works ... i switched recovery roms and lost all my backups, oh well - the price of dicking around with roms i guess. no big loss everything is on g+ & dropbox anyway. Thanks

ok so now I want to know is there a specific recovery ROM i should be using for applying MIUI 2.5.25? I tried with CWM and now DoomRecovery and both have the same results - HOX boots and hangs at the logo. Same for 2.5.18. So what's wrong here? This is indeed an international phone and it is...
