Yes on Mi 9 too. Volume is at 100% even if it should be at 0%. When you increase it, it goes back to its correct value. Hope this will be corrected.

Some problems with Mi 9 at least: - You have to slide up or down multiple times to change the volume levels. - Dark mode problems with some apps: in Firefox the URL domain and the total opened tabs number is displayed in grey over white. In dark apps, notifications are displayed black on black.

Since 6.12.8 with Mi 5s, my background apps are all automaticaly closed after some time. It occurs with Spotify, AccuBattery Pro, Free Mobile Netstat, Mi Band Tools, Sensorly. So I always loose background monitorings. Of course I disabled battery economy settings.

Did you try to go to the settings menu in TWRP (3rd menu in right column, starting from top), then click on the "earth" logo and choose your langage? Or this menu doesn't exist in your case?
