This is my phone info to confirm mine did have Android 4.3 and downgraded to Android 4.2.2 MIUI version but the baseband is still Android 4.3 maybe others are the same and that's causing wifi issues and SIM card errors

Safestrap maybe away to install MIUI on the I9505 but when MIUI updates they should update the baseband to latest so when we install we don't get sound and wifi and SIM card errors also maybe a special installer where you can select different parts to install would be good. Link to safestrap it...

Abyss kernel i9505 should work on all MIUI roms that are Android 4.2.2 I also noticed they removed the 4.4.18 download for i9505 so maybe a fix is coming soon keep checking the ROM download pages.

Reboot to recovery and clear the cache or try settings then apps and scroll down to e-mail and click then click clear cache and maybe clear data

4.4.11 is the ROM I am currently using its something to do with the baseband and the version of software so if your baseband is Android 4.3 and the ROM version is 4.2.2 then they don't match and you get WI-FI problems the solution on MIUI 4.4.11 is to flash the Abyss kernel and that fixes it...
