I have no such issue... it takes a bit longer to boot compared t the global beta but it starts fine. Maybe a bad flash, re-download the ROM and use a different TWRP to flash it again. Don't flash anything else just the ROM and make a full wipe including the internal storage (factory reset)...

Yes it's the Chinese version and it's in English and of course in Chinese. I read that works with no issues for our device in Android 9. Coming from global beta 8.9.20 I did a format of data partition and installed the Xiaomi EU fine. Sent from my MIX 2S using Tapatalk

You have to tap just above it. It's a feature of custom kernels.

I was invited as a beta tester, ROM is very good for a first release. Hope the bugs we found will be ironed soon by the MIUI devs.
