    Miui 13 (with A12)

Yeah the issue is clear but the fix is not so clear. At least it sounds like all the functionality is there though. I've been resisting the upgrade for not wanting to run into little issues like this one. Do you know if the fastboot rom, (using install rather than update), uses fbev1 or fbev2...

    I see. I haven't updated to A12 yet, but doesn't it use fbev2?

What's the full error msg form Orangefox? I had this a long time back but it was for user 99, (I think), which is what miui uses for second space.

The .bat file does a format though like previous fastboot files right? I suspect this one will need to as well in order to update to fbev2, so was wondering if there's any strong reason to update.

    That's what I thought. And it's a fastboot rom.

Anyone tried 13.01 yet? I see it's a fastboot rom so was wondering if it's worth the effort.

    Most stable upgrade path

Upgraded to 12.5.4 last night and it seems just as good. Active drain and idle drain look about the same and it feels just as snappy. Only changes I have noticed are the updated security patch and newer revisions of many system apps.

If I recall correctly, 12.0.2 can be dirty flashed to the latest version without data loss. I haven't tried 12.5.4 yet, but only because 12.5.3 is the best version of MIUI so far, (for my usage).

    Experiences with MIUI 12.5.2

Over the past week, Ive received 3.email notifications from Sourceforge for 12.5.4 for Joyeuse. This isn't typical and suggests that updated builds have been made available for unknown reasons. The most likely reason however would be bug fixes, so maybe worth checking the build date of your ROM...

Apologies for my earlier reply. I'd forgotten that I'd installed an APK that updates the time stamp. I uninstalled the apk this morning to test and I'm now back on Feb 2021 without any updates available....same as you.
