TWRP / Orangefox recovery for Redmi Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse)

You made me go back to read the first note. :) Unsure about the warnings regarding TWRP as Ive been using OrangeFox since the first beta release. But afaik, the issue with decryption was not related to formatting, but moreso with MIUI addding keymaster 4.1 encryption, (as you've posted above)...

TWRP / Orangefox recovery for Redmi Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse)

Reformatting isn't a requirement for using the current build, if that's what you're asking. As for decryption, I'm still seeing a failure to decrypt secondary users, ie. dual apps or second space, but I can't think when that would be needed when in recovery mode. And as an aside, I would...

    Missing notification LED... solutions?

Well you haven't flashed a different one, so you're still on stock. Custom kernels need to be flashed manually and current versions commonly come with a disclaimer, (bug), about the notification light when used with MIUI.

RN 9 pro EU scanner app problem

Clearly I'm just guessing here because I don't have the same problem, but also try uninstalling it first. It can be done via ADB as well. If it still doesn't work after that, it's likely not a problem with permissions.

RN 9 pro EU scanner app problem

I ha I don't have the problem with the scanner app like you, so haven't tried to install it. But in the past, I've been able to update system apps by using MiXplorer instead of the package manager for installation. It can also be done via ADB.

https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/xiaomi-inc/miui-qr-scanner-plus/miui-qr-scanner-plus-13-08-042-release/ If nothing else, installation should check the required permissions to ensure they're intact.

RN 9 pro EU scanner app problem

Same phone, same ROM, all working fine. I see there's a newer version of the app at apkmirror if you want to try that.

Note 9 pro rom install issue

You don't need to format system partition You do need to format data partition. And as for your recovery, I think you'll find that OrangeFox is the preferred/recommended cutom recovery for nearly all custom ROMs on our device.
