TWRP / Orangefox recovery for Redmi Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse)

System, vendor and product partitions are contained within the super partition under Android 10. That's why it can't be wiped, and also the reason there's still no official custom recoveries for devices released with A10.

Upgrade to Xiaomi.eu Rom Without Loosing data.

I used PBRP-joyeuse-3.0.0-20200813-2222-UNOFFICIAL to update from .04 to .05 and PBRP-miatoll-3.0.0-20200826-0101-UNOFFICIAL to update from .05 to .07 The miatoll builds are a unified platform to work with Curtana or Joyeuse, while still checking to ensure the device and ROM are a match. Which...

How to Update Joyeuse EU ROM from 11.0.4.0 to 11.0.7.0?

The process of installing a custom recovery should not delete your data. Nor will upgrading a recovery ROM, (dirty flashing), unless you choose to do it.inyentionally for some unusual reason. Edit: And be careful with the TWRP that you choose to install. There are a few different builds out...

[GUIDE] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Redmi Note 9 Pro EU

Updating 11.07 via PBRP also works fine. Only updated around 12 hours ago but it feels a bit smoother than 11.05, and idle battery drain is significantly improved. So it looks like more than just a security update to me.

Working SafetyNet for Redmi Note 9S

So that's what it was. I'm on the Google beta program so was kinda puzzled when safety net recertified a few weeks back, (without root). Did you have to clear data for the play store app ?

TWRP / Orangefox recovery for Redmi Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse)

Sounds like you missed a step with the props module. Did you also set attestation to basic?

TWRP / Orangefox recovery for Redmi Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse)

As of today, there is no fix. Hate to say this but if you have read the whole thread then you would've known that flashing persist.img would result in losing Widevine L1. And as an aside, I'm currently running 11.0.05, flashed via PBRB and have certified safety net without root. Seems...

MIUI 11 MIUI 11.0 STABLE RELEASE

I'm using 11.0.5 on my Redmi Note 9 Pro and have a question about the stock system launcher in app drawer mode. The frequently used apps at the top of the drawer do not appear to be persistent. After each reboot, (which is sometimes often when helping to test new recovery builds), the...

TWRP / Orangefox recovery for Redmi Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse)

11.0.4 fastboot is still available. 11.0.5 fastboot build was pulled because it caused a bootloop for those upgrading from 11.0.4. You can leave your guide intact but anyone who replaced their persist.img will lose L1 Widevine. And one more thing.... The reason your MM3, (and my MM2), are at...

TWRP / Orangefox recovery for Redmi Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse)

Note 9 Pro users in this thread who replaced the persist.img have L3. Note 9 users in this thread who didn't replace persist.img still have L1. I'm still on 11.0.4 with L1, but there's at least one user here on 11.0.5 with L1, (and he didn't replace persist.img). You should probably remove...

TWRP / Orangefox recovery for Redmi Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse)

It will show L1 instead of L3 if the certificates are intact.

Is your Widevine L3 or L1 after replacing your persist.img ?

How to create folders and delete apps in the app drawer? MIUI 11.0.4

Does dual apps work with Nova Launcher now? Would consider it if it works.

How to create folders and delete apps in the app drawer? MIUI 11.0.4

Strange about the missing hide icons setting. I'm using 11.0.4 of the ROM from here as well, so same hardware and software as you, and the setting is definitely there. Won't comment on folders, as my previous favourite launcher, (Lean Launcher), never had this feature either. It did have the...

How to create folders and delete apps in the app drawer? MIUI 11.0.4

Settings -> Home Screen -> Hide app icons That's what I think you're after. As for the folders, think you're out of luck. The MIUI way seems to be to make use of the (custom), app categories instead of folders.

TWRP / Orangefox recovery for Redmi Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse)

Thanks for that. I had considered that as a workaround and it should work for anyone who wants to use that build of TWRP, at least until it gets fixed. Personally I'm gonna stick with Pitch Black as they're committed to supporting our device and are putting a lot of effort into providing us...

TWRP / Orangefox recovery for Redmi Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse)

I've tried a few different recoveries, and have had the same problem with TWRP as @cuvetto Only way out was a power reset.

How to auto arrange icons on MIUI

Dude, this is a very old thread. Why not enable the app drawer on your current launcher? The icons are all sorted alphabetically.

TWRP / Orangefox recovery for Redmi Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse)

I just installed the IMG file via fastboot and it successfully decrypts user data without needing to format. Backup/restore and flashing ROMs will be the real test though.
