Froyo MIUI always had the bounce back overscroll effect. I'm hoping the dev's bring the bounce back overscoll effect and the list style menus back in GB once they iron out everything they need/want to iron out.

When you unlock the phone, does it show the carrier name in the notification bar, or is there something else on the far left? Any icon, anything at all?

If you have anything at all in the notification bar, then that notification counter will appear. Be it Tempmon, USB, USB debugging, etc. So you most likely have "something" in your notification bar, this is not a bug, this is by design.

The Froyo versions of MIUI had more akin to the Meizu M9 phone than they ever did to TouchWiz. Now in GB, they've changed a lot (and it will keep changing in months to come), but the overall feeling is still the same.

#1 Yes, it does take more than 24 hours to evaluate battery drain. You just flashed a new ROM, unless you do a flash at exactly 100% battery, then you more than likely screwed the battery calibration (batterystats.bin); meaning you'll have to recalibrate your battery in order to even evaluate...

Not to offend anyone, but shouldn't this go in the Evo specific forums, as this only happens on the Evo port (no other official ROMs or unofficial ports have this issue)?

Not to offend anyone, but "MIUI, Android Evolved" is corny as heck... I voted for "MIUI, Re-define Android" but I would have preferred "MIUI, Redefining Android" as I believe that MIUI is ever changing and always redefining Android and itself.

It is a bug, and it is common because it's actually an AOSP Gingerbread bug and not specific to MIUI. You can either deal with it till it's fixed or jump back to a MIUI Froyo build, unfortunately.
