We have both here... And both run cancro, both run r8... Let me simplify... The Mi4 with r8 runs smoothly now.

I'm still running 6.0.5.0 on my mi3, and my friend also on his mi4. We both are troublefree... nandroid wise :) So we run r8, you might want to try reverting to 6.0.5.0 ?

Hmmm... Not sure, but I think titanium has nandroid backup option too. Never used it though. Might be worth a look into? You have cmw 6.0.5.0 or 6.0.5.1?

Long shot here... *) nandroid backup, which system is active, which system do you backup, which system do you restore to? *) maybe the nandroid overfills the phones capacity and is thus corrupt (it gave me no warning when it happend to me)

There are several options... Personally I would use Google for your contacts. And Titanium to backup and restore apps. You could use miui backup online but, being Chinese servers, very likely to be very slow. Using titanium is not a full system backup, but trying to do that... I would even...

Merry Christmas ! My friend (miui mi4) and I (smiui mi2s) both have CM browser. Since some days, (not sure of rom or app) we both have ads in the app. They appear after some tome, not immediately. Is this the browser, rom or adblocker. Not sure where to look, any help is appreciated.

It did sound snappy. Sorry. But I still think it's better if the roms stay generic. Every request, mod, add-on needs work and also maintenance. I myself use another font also, so I understand your wish, but it's an 'personal preference' like wallpapers, themes, lockscreens. Hope I've cleared...

Just use a font from themes then. This is not it your personal ROM. Maybe, I missed it: but what is the difference between the normal and smiui. Both are based on miui v6 and experimental has some more mods and German. Am I right? What mods though. Couldn't find it?
