To like compile it and stuff? I haven't looked up a Samsung kitchen, so i'm using dsixda's HTC kitchen. Same concept though.

Lol that's not so bad, usually I just import everything, then start taking stuff off that isn't needed. Data seems to be the major priority, so that should be dealt with first. I'm searching for reasons why data doesn't work right now.

Haha alright, I have the Evo version, i'll put it on here. @Mike_77, what did you add/remove in the new build? Edit: in \system\usr\keychars and ...\...\keylayout, there are "supersonic-keypad" files. I don't think they are needed.

Alright, post your results so I can see if I can take that off the list of what doesn't work. I'm downloading the ROM now, and taking a look to see if I can help with the problems. I'm assuming 3G is the biggest issue here.

Miui Lovers!!! **1 Thing you hate about Miui Rom that you would like fixed??**

Don't really care about this either way, but, getting rid of all the AOSP apps for official MIUI apps.

    [ROM][1.8.5] Samsung Epic 4G [Official Thread][We're Back!]

Noooooooooooooo lol. It's completely possible, I'm just not tackling it right now because there is no GB for the Fascinate yet. And also, the Epic doesn't have a lot of GB drivers yet, which is what we need. So, possible, just difficult.

If you need to get MMS working, you need to find a custom froyo build for the Epic 4G, grab a copy of the MIUI framework.jar, the custom froyo framework.jar, and move some files over. I'll look for the detailed instructions in a bit.

Lol you are being added to the team as well. Plus I love your username. Lol i'll try messing around with it more tomorrow, i'm about to catch some z's one last thing before I gtb: I replaced the files in \system\lib as well.

    [ROM][1.8.5] Samsung Epic 4G [Official Thread][We're Back!]

That's an odd one! I just checked some of the hardware, and everything seems to be ported properly. I took out the batterycharging files on there (.qmz or something) of \system\media, and replaced the files in \system\usr.

Well that's a start I suppose, at least odin wasn't involved in this one. You can flash to stock and i'll keep working on this 1.3.5 port. Edit: I'll now be looking into the actual system files to see if everything is in place. Sorry for the crappy advancement guys, but i'll be working on...

Mhm. One thing I DID notice on this one is that it did have a kernel_update folder. I'm not familiar with this one, could that be the problem as well?

    [ROM][1.8.5] Samsung Epic 4G [Official Thread][We're Back!]

The build automatically places a boot.img in the files if there isn't one. I read for most devices (such as HTC) that it needs one to function properly. So, just in case, I placed one in there. I also did this after looking at all of the other MIUI ROMs on here, along with a custom Epic rom...

Thanks for sticking in there! I think implementing the boot.img will fix the problem. :)
