    Well, I tried but it doesn't change, again after reboot it start with dark mode but come back to normal mode. Any other solution?

    I don't know why but after that I set dark mode always on, if I plug the phone or reboot, everything it comes back to always off. Do I need to change other settings to get it always on? On Mi Note 3.

    On Mi Note 3, the same issue, after restart dark mode come back off. Third ROM tried with exactly the same issues.

    Yep, ni issues, except that I needed to reactivate developer mode to have full access and management of the ROM. But I activated after flashing the ROM.

    Very strange, I never had this issue on MiNote 3, I actually use twrp 3.2.3-1 also especially from miui.gr this version https://www.mediafire.com/file/zapxhvu9sea3edd/twrp_jason_3.2.3-1_tools-6_magisk18_treble-red.img/file

    Great, what to use then?? with 8.12.20 we didn't have this issue and we could edit system files without problem or error.
